James Murray on Corporate Social Responsibility at Business South 9th November 2017

James Murray, co-founder of The Murray Parish Trust spoke at Business South Directors Dinner in November 2017 about the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility in business. Contact The Murray Parish Trust www.themurrayparishtrust.com Thank you to David McEntee for the video and Thank you to Adam Vitovský for letting us use his song. http://www.AdamVitovsky.com' Full Transcript below: Linking your company to a charity can pay dividends. Corporate social responsibility is now a key issue for any business or organisation aiming for long-term sustainability. Fundraising drives employee engagement. Forbes conducted a survey recently which found that 90% of companies believed that their CSR activities lead to happier and more productive employees, 60% of which would happily take a pay cut of 15% to work in an organisation which shares values similar to their own. In short, employees respect leaders that do good. Through working for charitable causes, you can create new contacts and immediately have something to talk about, which of course then gives you a regular platform to help maintain those relationships. By partnering with The Murray Parish Trust you will get a unique opportunity to help us ensure that your community, your children’s future, will be a better, safer, happier place to live. Sponsoring us will offer you a broad stage on which you can present your company to a rich and diverse audience. Raising money gives tangible help to the causes that need it most. By sponsoring a worthy charity not only are you presenting your company in a positive light, showing that you care, but you could actually make a real difference to their quality of life and maybe even save a few in the process. You can form a corporate partnership with us, this can be tailored to how you see fit. From payroll contributions, match bonuses, to making us your chosen charity of the year. You might perhaps decide to make large annual donations which could give your company naming rights somewhere in this fantastic new ED that we’re building. If you want to be part of that journey, if you think we could work together, please get in touch.

The following playlist showcases my most recent videography portfolio. Here you will find corporate videos, promotional, pitch and testimonial videos that I have created for a range of clients. If you wish to enquire further contact me - HERE.

We commissioned Dave to create a stand-out 10min video for a project bid. His professionalism, resourcefulness and collaborative nature made the process easy and fun, and we finished the project ahead of schedule.

Event Coverage for Charity Speech

It has been a pleasure working with Dave. As well as his professionalism, we have been really impressed with his cinematography, his directing, organisation of shoots and prompt communication in the post-production stage. It has made the whole project very succinct and straightforward. We highly recommend him.

South Africa Expedition - Volunteering in Schools

South Africa was the first time I'd left Europe - it was easily the most ambitious trip I've ever been on!! I had such a great time experiencing this completely new culture from a completely new continent. It means so much to be able to share projects like these, so thank you so much for checking out the video, and thanks for all your amazing support over the last year and a bit. I am so lucky to have such amazing friends riding alongside me on this journey. If your interested in more of my work, follow me here: https://www.instagram.com/dpmcentee https://www.facebook.com/DavidPMcEntee A massive thank you to the University of Winchester. I am a second year film student there- and they've been nothing but awesome - always helpful and caring towards their students. I appreciate everything this institution has given me. The trip was rad. I'd also like to mention the actual group that I went to South Africa with- I couldn't of asked for better friend, this trip was amazing and its the people that made these experiences so much better. Firstly, thank you to Sammi Dunn for being my partner in crime on this trip- we went where no Film Student had gone before, and thrived under the pressure. Secondly, thank you to Robert Ferrin for always keeping us motivated, you managed to keep me and Sammi on it 24/7, and thank you for your support on my projects - it makes such a difference. Thirdly, thank you to Jessie Bingham, dude, you are my rock. Also your sound editing is awesome. ANND, thank you for your constant support - that never waivers - even if its 3am in the editing suite. MY SWITZERLAND

MY SWITZERLAND

MY SWITZERLAND is my second video in the time capsule series. This video documents a weekend of climbing mountains and jumping in freezing lakes with my Brother and my Father. If you didn't hear it already in the opening- my Grandparents used to take my Father to Switzerland every summer, so experiencing something the he's told me about my entire life - was truly phenomenal. I made this film for multiple reasons: The first and foremost, was so that I could easily remember and create a time capsule of this amazing trip - because it was honestly like nothing I had ever experienced before. The film is a way to show how important this trip was to me. Since leaving home I only get to spend X amount of time with my brother and father; so I created this so they can forever be reminded of how much I value our trips and time spent together. Secondly. To me, the film was also an exercise in cinematography and editing. I’m a second year film student and I have a lot of free time at uni - so I force myself to make these time consuming edits and cinematic to keep me working hard. And finally. I created this because I want to be a more active creator and filmmaker. Its easy to get trodden down and discouraged by a lack of a motivated crew or just by an unsuccessful film. No, I wouldn’t consider this film finished, neither would I consider it my best work ever. But its something. I think a lot of people don’t share their work in fear of being slated, or criticised by other filmmakers/viewers. But I’m not scared of that- I know I need to improve and I know I have a lot to learn - but that is not going to stop me. This film was special. I'm so glad I finished it and I'm so glad I've put it out there for you all to see. This is going to be a long journey and I'm not sure where it'll end up, but I'm not going to stop. All the best, -Dave. P.S I just wanted to say, that this project would not of been possible without a lot of people. Thank you to everyone who helped me on this- and everyone who continuously supports me! 'FACING MY FEARS' - BLUE LAGOON - CLIFF DIVING

My cousin brought me along to his favourite cliff diving spot, called ‘Blue Lagoon’ in Wales, its where Red Bull held their Cliff Diving World Series back in 2012. It was an awesome little adventure and I’m extremely excited for the jumps we’re planning for next year!!:) ((WHEN ITS WARM AGAIN haha)) If you’re interested in more of my work then follow me here: https://www.instagram.com/dpmcentee https://www.facebook.com/DavidPMcEntee I had a great time making this video so thank you so so sooooo much for watching!! I’m so happy I can share these experiences and these fun personal projects with you all!!:) MUSIC BY: ((Thank you all for letting me use your amazing work!!)) UNIQ: https://soundcloud.com/uniqofficial EXPLOR: https://soundcloud.com/xplormusic contact@officialxplor.com LTR MUSIC: https://soundcloud.com/ltr_tunes ltrtunes@gmail.com EDAPOLLO: https://soundcloud.com/edapollo edapollomusic@gmail.com I shot this film entirely on the CANON 800D. It’s a great beginners DSLR and I couldn't recommend it more- I used two lenses for this video, a Samyang 24mm 1.5 Prime and an old 24-135mm lens ((I think)) lol xx Quickly, I just want to say that this is a fairly dangerous thing to do, so definitely do not attempt anything like this at least - without someone who know the water and who knows the jump! Here’s a link to a Facebook group who have a great wealth of knowledge about British Cliff diving spots, https://www.facebook.com/groups/941290792584715/ , I’m not encouraging anyone to do this – but if you take it upon yourself to, make sure you are as safe as you possibly can be!!! The reason why I haven’t been as active as I would have liked is because: I’m in my third (AND FINAL) year at film school at the moment and this being my dissertation year, I haven’t had as much time on my hands to make these personal projects! HOWEVER, TRUST ME – I’ve got big plans, and I’m coming back bigger then ever – very very soon!! CLIFF DIVING - PART VI in the time capsule series. (168) Thank you for all your support!! I’m three months away from finishing film school, so expect bigger and better projects soon! Thanks for watching, Thanks for reading:) -Davla Xx #travelfilms #filmmaking #cliffdiving #bluelagoon #Wales

'The Right Of Passage' - FRANCE ROAD TRIP

▶ Check out my gear on Kit: https://kit.com/DavidPMcEntee Almost a year ago we set out on a road trip across FRANCE - this is my new film: ‘The right of passage’. Dom, Adam and myself drove over 800 miles to spend seven days in one of the most beautiful villages I have ever seen. If your interested in more of my work, follow me here: https://www.instagram.com/dpmcentee https://www.facebook.com/DavidPMcEntee We walked slack lines, repeatedly jumped in the pool, drank cider, found a cliff to jump off from, went canoeing, drank cider, had a pigeon fly into our house, listened to music and drank cider. Oh and we filmed filmed filmed, because we could. It was an awesome trip - and I'll never forget it. :) It took me a year to make this film because trying to convey how meaningful and life changing something was - is extremely difficult. I was also scared, scared that I'd make just another highlights reel and miss an opportunity to be even more honest in my work. This trip really cemented what I want to do with my life. And I hope this film got that across. Also, Chris Burkard is a legend and if it wasn't for his quote I'd of never known where to start with this short shorts film. FRANCE - PART IIII in my time capsule series. A MASSIVE THANK YOU - to DOM, this absolute legend send me two clips that he filmed- and it helped me make the video what it is. His channel is the link that follows, give him some love he's an awesome creator and an awesome friend. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK4dU8oUgPF-0akgPFT63Ag MUSIC BY VARIOUS ARTISTS, in order of their appearance: UNIQ (1ST SONG): https://soundcloud.com/uniqofficial ((this guy is awesome, no idea how I found him- but love his remixes)) LTR TUNES (2ND SONG): https://soundcloud.com/ltr_tunes (((thanks for all the support man^^))xx LLOP BLAU BEATS (3RD SONG): https://soundcloud.com/llopblaubeats ((SO SORRY FOR FORGETTING, I love your stuff!!)) THE MUSE MAKER (4TH SONG): https://soundcloud.com/themusemaker ((at this point it would be wrong not to use the muse)) DYLLA SWAIN (5TH SONG): http://soundcloud.com/dyallas ((LOVE YOUR WORK OMG)) I've you've made it this far into the description, your probably pretty awesome. Thank you for your constant support, I'm so lucky to have such awesome friends backing me on this ambition. I love each and every one of you to bits :) Xx I shot this almost entirely on: https://www.canon.co.uk/cameras/eos-800d/ Also, if your bored- count how many times I say 'genuinely' in this film hahahaha -Dave Xx
